Over 1000 marijuana trees, and 3000 seedlings, were destroyed on Sunday morning during a police operation in Santa Cruz.
Officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force were on patrol when they received intelligence which led them to Vicky Trace, La Canoa.
The officers made their way into a forested area off the roadway where they came across a camp.
Next to the camp was a marijuana field.
Police said the trees were counted and then destroyed.
The operation was coordinated by Snr. Supt. Phillip, Sup Wilson, and Supt. Roger Alexander and was led by Sgt. Martin and included Cpl Duncan, and Cpl Daniel, among others.
The officers thank the members of the public for the trust placed in them with the information which led to the find and called for the public’s continued support.
