Thirty fully grown marijuana trees were found and destroyed yesterday morning in Barrackpore.
As a result, police are once again reminding citizens that they are only legally allowed to carry up to 30 grammes of marijuana on their person, and cultivate up to four marijuana plants.
The find, along with a crate containing 70 marijuana seedlings, were found by officers of the Southern Division, led by ASP Ali, Insp Charles, Sgt Mohammed, and others.
The officers received intelligence which led them to a field off Poui Trace, where the drugs were found and seized.
The exercise also included WPC Rostant, PC Marshall, PC Tambie, and PC Ragbir.
