Two assault rifles, a handgun, an estimated 150 rounds of assorted ammunition, and over 12 kilogrammes (kg) of marijuana and cocaine were seized in Marabella.
Three people, including a 57-year-old woman employed as an accountant in the Ministry of National Security have been held.
The find was made by officers of the Marabella CID yesterday morning.
At about 5am, the lawmen, under the supervision of Sgt Ifill and Cpl Burke, received intelligence which led them to a house along Gopaul Street, Marabella.
There the officers executed a search warrant in the presence of three persons, including the 57-year-old woman.
The other two persons are a 30-year-old man who is unemployed, and 28-year-old accounts clerk.
The house was searched and the officers allegedly found and seized 12 kgs marijuana, 1.68 kgs cocaine, one AK-47 assault rifle, one AR15 assault rifle, one Glock .22 handgun, 144 rounds of assorted ammunition.
The three were immediately taken into custody and are said to be aiding police with their inquiries.
